Lost In The Nameless City

Join us for this FREE showcase screening by 8th DocFilm Festival.

This is an abstract documentary in the experimental genre commissioned by Filthy Lucre about urban space in London – combining video with photography and an original minimalist score.

It has recently won the Experimental Award at the 12 Months Film Festival (Romania), screening in competition at the Lemo Art Gallery (Berlin), Geo Film Festival & ExpoCinema / Official Selection (Cittadella, Padova, Italy), Experimental Film & Music Video Festival / Out of Competition (Toronto, Canada) and semi-finalist for the 2017 Istanbul International Architecture and Urban Film Festival / Semi-Finalist (Turkey).

Finally……congratulations to Paul on his selection in New York!

Paul wrote, “The award-winning Lost In The Nameless City will have its world premiere screening in New York City! My short experimental documentary is 1 of 31 short films selected from around the world showcased at The Cell in the Chelsea District of Manhattan. 9 countries are being represented: UK, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, Iran, Poland, Spain and the United States with all films eligible for nominations in competition for various awards.”

I’m delighted to be screening this submission from Paul Vernon, a long term supporter of the DocFilm Festival since his two previous screenings at the 4th DocFilm Festival.
